Meet the Faculty
   Pastor Schulz
Pastor Dale Schulz

Congregation Pastor and Catechism Instructor

Pastor Schulz was born in Bay City, Michigan and grew up there. He attended Bay City Public High School before spending his college years at Michigan State University and Bethany Lutheran College (Mankato, Minnesota). After earning his bachelor’s degree, Dale continued pastoral training at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. He finished his final seminary instruction in spring 1974. His first ministry assignment was at Taylor, Michigan where he served for five years. In 1979, Pastor accepted a call to Oshkosh, Wisconsin. There he met his future wife, Jackie, and they were wed in June 1985. Pastor Schulz has served St. John’s since 1989 when he and his wife, Jackie, accepted a call.

Mrs. Schulz
Mrs. Jacqueline Schulz
Teacher, Kindergarten

Jacqueline was born in California, but she grew up in Whiteriver, Arizona. She attended a Lutheran high school there in Whiteriver. After that, she enrolled at Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. Upon her graduation in 1975, she received a teaching assignment to Grace Lutheran School in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. While teaching third grade, Jackie met and married Dale Schulz in 1985. Mrs. Schulz has been teaching at St. John’s since she and her husband came to Newark in 1989.

Ms Kroening
Ms. Nicole Kroening
Teacher, Grades 1 through 4

Miss Nicole Kroening was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with her brother and her two sisters.  Her family still lives and works near Milwaukee.  She went to a Lutheran grade school and continued her Christian education at Wisconsin Lutheran High School.  She attended four years at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, before receiving a one-year call to teach in Scarville, Iowa.  After a year of teaching, she returned to MLC to complete her education in secondary music.  After graduation she taught one year in Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Jenera, Ohio, where she has been teaching for the past three years.

Mr. Monday
Mr. Andrew Monday
Teacher, Grades 5 through 8, and Principal

Mr. Monday was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has two older brothers and two younger sisters. He spent most of his early childhood in northern Wisconsin before moving back down near Milwaukee after fourth grade. He attended Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin for all four years. During his time there, he was a foreign exchange student for eleven months in the country of Lithuania. After high school, he earned a five-year, elementary and secondary education degree in May 2003 from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. Mr. Monday is entering his fifth year of teaching. He and his wife, Rachel, were married in June 2003. They have two sons.
