News from Mrs. Schulz

Preschool and Kindergarten

  1. Thank you to all parents who helped with our Art Fair last week Wednesday. Your hard work is always appreciated!

  2. Thank you also for your help in chaperoning and driving our children to the farm this past Friday. The children enjoyed the opportunity to experience all the science connected with the farm. Thank you again for your help.

News from Miss Kroening

Grades 1-4

  1. Our class is in need of paper towels. Please send in a roll. If you know you were unable to send in a roll at the beginning of year, perhaps you could send along two at this time. Hopefully that will be enough to make it to the end of the year.

  2. Many of our students reached their reading goal for the quarter, so it's time for Pet Day! Please see the attached information for more details.

  3. Our November Memory Treasure calendar is attached today.

News from Mr. Monday

Grades 5-8

  1. Thank you to our drivers for their help in getting to the Skating Center.

  2. There are a few students who still have outside books to read and tests to pass.

  3. There is NO hymn due for next Tuesday.

News for the Whole School

  1. A big thank you to all our helpers for the Reformation Party. We all had a great time!

  2. Please remember to send in your Grandparents' Day address sheet if you have not already done so.

  3. Thanks to the moms for a great hot lunch yesterday!

  4. Just a reminder: no school tomorrow Thursday and Friday, November 1st and 2nd. Our teachers have an in-service day followed by a district conference in Falls Church, VA on Friday and Saturday.

  5. Day light savings ends on Saturday night. Please remember to set your clocks back. We gain an hour!

  6. The end of the first quarter is already here! Look for report cards next Friday, November 9th.

  7. As the days get colder, please send a jacket or sweatshirt for your child to wear at recess.

  8. It may seem like snow is a long way off with the warm fall we have been experiencing, but please note our school closing stations just in case winter ever does arrive. : Our school closing is announced on the radio at WDEL 1150 AM and WSTW 93.7 FM. It is also posted on channel 6 ABC. Please note that although we use the Christina School district as a guideline, we DO NOT always close when they do. They have bus yards and other factors to account for that we do not have to consider.

  9. Picture make-up/retake day is Monday, November 19th. If your child was ill on the original Picture Day, you should use the original picture order form to order on the 19th. If you need another form, let Mr. Monday know. We will also be taking a whole school picture that day.
