- Just a reminder that Friday, November 9th, is also Pet Day for those students who completed their reading goal last quarter. Please check the information sheet from last week for more details.
- We did a school supply check this week and discovered that many of the students are in need of some supplies. Please check with your student to see what he or she needs.

- 5th and 6th grade Science students have selected an experiment from our textbook. These experiments should be done at home and are due on Wednesday, November 21st. They will present them for Grandparents' Day. Please assist your child in completing these projects.
- Please keep your child up to date on their second quarter "outside reading". Beginning early will benefit them greatly.
- Be on the lookout for a permission slip about our next field trip in the near future. We will be visiting the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base on Wednesday, December 12th. Please help us as a chaperone/driver if you can.
News for the Whole School
- Watch for report cards this Friday, November 9th. Good work first quarter!
- Grandparents' Day invitations went home earlier this week for you to hand deliver or stamp then mail. Please check your child's home folder for the invitations if you have sent in your address sheet but have not yet seen the invitations.
- You still have a little time to send in your Grandparents' Day address sheet and still have invitations sent home. Grandparents' Day is Wednesday, November 21st. It is a great opportunity for the students to show their grandparents their school and spend a little extra time together.
- An envelope is attached today regarding the Grandparents' Day hot lunch. A lot of time and effort goes into making this hot lunch the best of the year. We do not want to put grandparents on the spot, so we do not "charge" for this hot lunch; however, kindly consider a donation per person who will be enjoying this delicious meal that day. Thanks!
- Congratulations to our first quarter Box Tops race winners! The first through fourth graders won the class race, and Casie Heath is the individual winner.
- Picture make-up/retake day is Monday, November 19th. Life Touch has now sent us a new set of picture forms, so you will find those attached today. If your child was ill on the original Picture Day, you should use this picture order form to order on the 19th. We will also be taking a whole school picture that day.
- On Tuesday, December 4th, our whole school will travel to New Jersey to do some Christmas caroling. Keep an eye out for more details soon.
- Fall weather seems to have arrived. Please remember that unless it is raining, we do spend our recesses outside, so send along appropriate cool weather items. As it turns cold, hats, mittens, and a winter coat will be important! If there is snow on the ground, children need boots to play in the grass area of our playground.
