And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers." 1 John 3:16
News from Mrs. Schulz
Preschool and Kindergarten
- Remember two important items for this Friday, March 14th: the sign up list for our Easter Party Needs will be available and "P is for Pajama Day." Children may dress in their pajamas, slippers, and robes. Do not forget, however, to send your child's outdoor shoes for recess and gym class.
- It's already on the school calendar, so double check it's on your family calendar: all classes sing in the 11:00 service this Sunday, March 16th, for Palm Sunday. If you know you will not be able to attend, please have the courtesy to let your child's teacher know.
News from Miss Kroening
Grades 1-4
- Third and fourth graders will have their test on Delaware State History next Thursday, March 20th. Look for a review sheet next Tuesday, March 18th.
- Please note that memory treasures and the spelling test are on next Thursday rather than Friday as usual due to the short week.
News from Mr. Monday
Grades 5-8
- The third Science Fair checkpoint is due on Monday, March 17th. If your child has not completed the both of the first two checkpoints, their project is NOT allowed to continue until they catch up. If your child is late on either checkpoint, please see the attached note on their assignment notebook.
- 5-6 Science book experiments are due during the week of March 17-20. This is not connected to their Science Fair project. This is a quarterly item. Please check your child's assignment notebook for specific date.
- Due to numerous class projects (see above), our AR book totals are still low, but we have done a GREAT JOB this past week. Please plan your time wisely in the upcoming weeks (including Easter Break) to complete this quarterly project. Each student needs to complete two novels as usual.
News for the Whole School
- Tonight is a continuation of the Lenten season during which we contemplate the suffering that Jesus went through to free us of our sins. Please join us for the special worship service tonight at St. John's at 7:00 p.m. There is also a soup and sandwich supper beginning at 5:30 which is handy if you find it difficult to get home, find some dinner, and still arrive to church on time. We look forward to seeing you!

- Our Easter break begins after classes on Thursday, March 20th. After school care will still be offered on Thursday afternoon. We will resume classes on Monday, March 31st.
