ENROLLMENT PERIOD
Our pre-enrollment period begins on Monday, January 15th for all interested families with existing families having re-enrollment priority.
Starting Monday, March 5th, enrollment is open on a first come-first served basis. Monday, March 5th is the starting date for registration fee (see below) acceptance from all interested families. Registration payments may be made prior to March 5th by currently existing school families.

ENROLLMENT CRITERIA
In order for a new elementary student to enroll at St. John's Lutheran School, the student must have successfully completed the previous grade level. Reception of school records from his/her previous school is a regular part of the enrollment process, but it is not necessarily required before we consider enrollment completed.
Orientation Sunday
Please keep Sunday, August 26th, clear on your family calendar and attend our Orientation Sunday. This is an afternoon session that introduces all families to our new school year. Important health forms, schedules, and other needed information are a central part to Orientation Sunday. We also use it as a way for students to mingle with peers and parents to talk with teachers one more time before school gets under way for the year.
Adult Information Class
All new families who are not members of St. John's Lutheran Church must attend an Adult Information Class with Pastor Schulz. The purpose of this class is to provide new parents with an overview of what we teach children who attend our school. The class will consist of three one-hour informational sessions, and must be completed during the child's first year of enrollment.
Registration Fee
The Registration Fee will be used to purchase supplies and materials for the upcoming school year. For this reason, the Registration Fee is non-refundable. The Registration Fee is included in the annual tuition amount due and will be deducted before all tuition discounts are applied.
- All new families must pay the full Registration Fee indicated before a spot for the desired class will be held. A SMART Tuition information form must be filled out and submitted with your registration. (See SMART Tuition Management Services in the packet or Enrollment Forms, Student Registration Form on the website)
- All families with students currently enrolled at St. John's must pay ½ of the Registration Fee when the Registration Form is turned in (or agree to use their 2006-07 Transportation Allowance, if any) before a spot for the desired class will be held. The remainder of the Registration Fee will be due by 07/13/07.

REGISTRATION FORM
A Registration Form must be completed for each child enrolled. The Registration Fee should attached to the Registration Form and given to the Principal. The Registration Fee should be paid to St. John's Lutheran School.
TUITION PAYMENTS
The annual tuition amount will be collected in eleven (11) monthly payments beginning in August and ending in June. All tuition payments are due on the 10th of the month. All school families will send their monthly tuition payments to SMART Tuition Management Services.
MEMBERS' DISCOUNT
Existing members of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church who wish to enroll their child(ren) at St. John's Lutheran School are given a 25% discount off the student's annual tuition due (minus the Registration Fee) provided they enroll their child(ren) before June 1st, 2007.
MULTI-STUDENT DISCOUNT
Those families who wish to enroll more than one child at St. John’s Lutheran School are
given a Multi-Student Discount as follows:

The Multi-Student Discount does not apply to the Registration Fee.
The Multi-Student Discount is deducted after the Registration Fee and
the Members’ Discount are applied.
ADMINISTRATION AND BOOK FEES
There is an annual Administration Fee of $38.00 per family for all families enrolled at St. John's. There is an annual Book Fee of $30.00 per student for all students enrolled in Kin-dergarten through 8th grade. These fees are due on or before St. John's School Orientation Day. Checks are payable to: St. John's Lutheran School (just like the Registration Fee).
TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCE
The State of Delaware offers parents who transport their children (K-8) to a private school a Transportation Allowance. The amount of this allowance varies from year to year depending on the number of parents who apply statewide. Upon enrollment, eligible families will be given the necessary paperwork to apply for this Transportation Allowance. This paperwork must be returned to the Principal as soon as possible.
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
Our school has chosen Rush Uniforms
as our official uniform provider. Please click this link,
www.rushuniform.com to go to their website. All orders for the 2007-08 school year must be received by the end of June so the embroidered polo shirts can be ready by September. All items acceptable for school wear (including colors) are listed under our school's name on the Rush website. All options are final.
The 2007-08 school year will be a "phase-in" year for Rush uniforms. Families choosing a different company than Rush MUST clear their selections with Mr. Monday before attending in the fall. The 2008-09 school year will exclusively feature Rush Uniform products.
